Cupping uses suction to promote blood flow to the area to promote healing and immunity, decrease pain, decrease muscle tension, and increase relaxation. Some conditions Cupping can be used to treat back pain, sprains/strains, carpal tunnel, frozen shoulder, and plantar fasciitis. Cupping is not recommended for patients who have uncontrolled high blood pressure, are on blood thinners, have a burn or lesion, have thinning skin, have been in the sun, have varicose veins, or lymph nodes.
